The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo held a periodic meeting with senior management and heads of organizational units, with the aim of reviewing progress in the implementation of the Strategic Plan 2024–2028 and the CBK Work Plan.

The meeting discussed the results, main achievements and challenges identified by each organizational unit, in order to strengthen internal institutional coordination, advance reforms and ensure the effective implementation of the CBK’s strategic objectives.

In its opening, the CBK’s Governor, Mr Ahmet Ismaili, emphasized the importance of continuous monitoring of the implementation of the Strategic Plan and the Work Plan, as key instruments for guiding institutional work, increasing accountability, prioritizing reforms and strengthening the capacities of the CBK in fulfilling its legal mandate.

“Implementation of the Strategic Plan requires joint commitment, continuous coordination and a clear focus on results. This process enables us to assess progress, address challenges and ensure that our institutional reforms are advancing in line with strategic objectives, European standards, and the needs of the economy and citizens of the Republic of Kosovo,” emphasized Governor Ismaili.

During the meeting, with the contribution of the deputy governors, the organizational units presented the progress in their respective areas of responsibility, including strengthening of financial stability, advancing financial supervision and regulation, modernizing payment systems, developing statistics and analysis, improving internal governance, digitalization, risk management, institutional communication, and strengthening professional capacities.kapaciteteve profesionale.

The CBK reiterated its commitment to implementing the reforms envisaged in the Strategic Plan 2024–2028, with a focus on maintaining financial stability, aligning with European Union standards, modernizing the financial infrastructure, increasing transparency and advancing financial services to the benefit of citizens and the country’s economy.

Such periodic meetings constitute an important part of the CBK’s approach to planning, monitoring and institutional chain accountability, ensuring that strategic objectives are translated into concrete actions, measurable results and sustainable reforms.
