Bashkim Nurboja

The Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo has elected Bashkim Nurboja as Chairman of the Board of the Central Bank of Kosovo.

Mr. Nurboja is a University Professor in the field of economics, with a PhD completed at the University of Ljubljana – Faculty of Economics. In his doctoral thesis he dealt with the banking industry. Mr. Nurboja completed his MA in England, at Staffordshire University, as well as his studies in Business at the University of Prishtina.

Bashkim Nurboja has published various scientific papers in scientific journals related to the banking industry. He has also attended various international conferences with a focus on finance.

Mr. Nurboja is a Professor at the Faculty of Business at the “Haxhi Zeka” University, and has been part of various European Union projects.

Mr. Nurboja succeeds the current Chairman, Flamur Mrasori, whose mandate has ended.
