Governor Mehmeti met representatives of the American Embassy

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti, has received at the meeting, Mr.Richard Heater, Economic and Commercial Officer at the Embassy of the United States of America in our country.

In this meeting, the latest developments in the financial sector were discussed, while Governor Mehmeti said that the banking sector, as the main component of the financial system in the country, has played and is playing a very important role in supporting the country’s economy, continuing the pace of credit growth and maintain the level of sustainability.

Governor Mehmeti thanked the USA for the continuous assistance given to Kosovo and CBK, while he expressed his willingness and commitment to advance the cooperation even further.

On the other hand, Mr. Heater thanked the Governor for revealing the developments in the financial sector and reconfirmed the continuous support of the United States for CBK.
