Macroprudential Supervision

The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK) has the legal mandate to identify and address risks that may threaten the stability of the financial system. In this context, the CBK conducts macroprudential supervision, as well as develops and implements policies and measures to strengthen the resilience of the financial sector and prevent the build-up of systemic risks. The CBK’s macroprudential supervision framework encompasses regulatory and strategic documents, systemic risk monitoring mechanisms, as well as Executive Board decisions on macroprudential measures.
