The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosova (CBK), Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, was welcomed at the headquarters of the World Bank by the Vice President and Treasurer of the World Bank Group, Mr. Jorge Familiar, as part of the Spring Meetings 2026 in Washington DC.

During the meeting, Governor Ismaili expressed his appreciation for the continued support of the World Bank to the CBK, particularly in strengthening institutional capacities and advancing international reserves management practices.

In this regard, with the aim of strengthening institutional capacities, the CBK has advanced its cooperation with the World Bank Treasury program (RAMP), moving into the phase of active portfolio management, during which a new cooperation agreement has also been signed. The program includes around 100 member institutions globally, mainly central banks, with over 30 billion US dollars in assets under management by the World Bank Treasury. Starting this year, a portion of these managed assets will also include the funds managed by the CBK.

For his part, Mr. Familiar praised the progress achieved by the CBK and reaffirmed the World Bank’s support for projects and initiatives aimed at further developing the financial sector.

At the conclusion of the meeting, Governor Ismaili expressed his gratitude to the World Bank’s RAMP delegation for their valuable expertise and collaborative efforts in advancing reserve management practices and capacity-building initiatives at the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo.
