A high-level delegation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosova (CBK), led by Governor Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, with the participation of Non-Executive Board Member Ms. Latifi-Jashari and Deputy Governor Mr. Fusha, along with their associates, is participating in the 2026 Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB), which are being held in Washington DC, United States of America.

Within the framework of these meetings, CBK representatives will hold meetings with senior leadership and officials of the IMF and the World Bank, focusing on the latest macroeconomic and financial developments, the economic outlook in the context of current global circumstances, as well as implications for financial stability and policymaking.

During the meetings’ agenda, taking place from April 13 to 18, Governor Ismaili, together with his team, will present the key developments in the financial sector of the Republic of Kosovo, the CBK’s institutional priorities, progress in the implementation of reforms, achievements through professional technical assistance programs, as well as upcoming projects in support of the institution’s strategic objectives.

As part of this official visit to the United States of America, the CBK delegation will also hold bilateral meetings with senior officials of the U.S. Treasury, the International Finance Corporation (IFC), as well as with leaders of central banks and partner financial institutions, with the aim of further strengthening cooperation in areas of mutual interest. The delegation will also participate in events and bilateral meetings organized within the framework of the Spring Meetings.

The IMF and World Bank Spring Meetings bring together central bank governors, ministers of finance and development, parliamentarians, private sector leaders, representatives of civil society, and academics to discuss issues of global importance, including the global economic outlook, economic development, poverty reduction, and strengthening economic resilience.
