Other financial intermediaries

The assets of other financial intermediaries at the end of April 2026 reached a value of €778.84 million, representing an increase of approximately €13.02 million compared to the previous month.

The gross loans of other financial intermediaries for this month reached €578.42 million, representing an increase of €8.53 million compared to the previous period. By sectoral distribution, loans to households dominate, accounting for 59.04 % of the total loans of other financial intermediaries.

The value of new loans issued by other financial intermediaries in April 2026 amounted to €60.06 million.

Insurance companies

The assets of insurance companies at the end of April 2026 reached a value of €390.86 million, representing an increase of approximately €3.30 million compared to the previous month. The structure of assets in the insurance sector consists of balances with commercial banks, accounting for 45.90%, securities and other assets with 23.86%, and reinsurance with participation at 19.21%.

Pension funds

The pension fund assets at the end of April 2026 reached a value of €4.05 billion. The structure of assets in the pension sector is dominated by shares and equity securities, which account for 81.75% of the total assets.
