The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosova (CBK), with the aim of encouraging reporting on the financial system, announces the call for the best writing and reporting on the financial sector, published in print or online media, as well as broadcast on radio and television.

The award aims to recognize and reward the best journalism in the field of economics, with a special focus on the financial system. At a time when transparency and accurate information on financial issues are essential for citizens and businesses, this award will acknowledge and promote journalists who provide in-depth analysis, quality research, and balanced reporting on the financial system.

The award is traditional and is presented every year on November 15 – the founding day of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosova.

The CBK Award for the best writing and reporting on the financial sector, includes the following categories:

• Best article published in a newspaper (online and PDF) (1);

• Best article published in online media/web portal (1);

• Best report broadcast on television (1); and

• Best report broadcast on radio (1).

The Selection Committee will consist of journalism professionals and the CBK team, who will evaluate applications based on accuracy, objectivity, impact, and creativity of the reporting.

Articles or reports must have been published or broadcast during the current year, specifically from January 1, 2026 to September 30, 2026.

Articles should address topics related to the financial system, including banks, insurance, pensions, financial inclusion, financial innovation, and related areas.

Reports must be based on accurate data, thorough research, and an objective approach, demonstrate public impact, and contribute to advancing financial literacy.

The application must include a short summary/support letter explaining how the data was used in the development of the article or report.

Deadline for submission of articles or reports: September 30, 2026.

Award winners will receive recognition from the CBK and a financial reward.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosova reserves the right to cancel this call at any stage of the process, or not to award one or more prizes in the respective categories, if there are no successful applications or if the applications are deemed not to have met the conditions and criteria that have already been established.
