The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, in accordance with its publication calendar, presents the statistics for other financial institutions (non-banks) for January 2026.

Other financial intermediaries

The assets of other financial intermediaries at the end of January 2026 reached a value of €755.97 million, marking an increase of €8.94 million, or 1.20%, compared to the previous month.

The gross loans of other financial intermediaries for this month reached €557.81 million, representing an increase of €5.93 million compared to the previous period. By sectoral distribution, loans to households dominate, accounting for 58.83% of the total loans of other financial intermediaries.

The value of new loans issued by other financial intermediaries in January 2026 amounted to €50.52 million.

Insurance companies

The assets of insurance companies at the end of January 2026 reached a value of €363.87 million, representing an increase of approximately €5.23 million compared to the previous month. The structure of assets in the insurance sector consists of balances with commercial banks, accounting for 49.35%, securities and other assets with 25.51%, and reinsurance with participation at 14.49%.

Pension funds

The assets of pension funds at the end of January 2026 reached a value of €3.86 billion. The structure of assets in the pension sector is dominated by shares and equity securities, which account for 79.77% of the total assets.
