Ms Arta Hoxha is a member of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo and at the same time the Head of the Governance, Ethics and Human Resources Committee. Through an open application process, she was shortlisted and voted on by the Assembly of Kosovo, followed by the Presidential decree in May 2023.

 

From 2018 to 2023, she served as an independent member of the Board of Directors of the Kosovo Credit Guarantee Fund, appointed by KfW and USAID.

 

Ms. Hoxha completed her PhD in Economics at Staffordshire University in the United Kingdom, with a focus on the impact of the global financial crisis on transition countries in Europe. For her academic contribution, she has been awarded the prestigious Olga Radzyner Prize by the Austrian National Bank.

 

In addition to her academic achievements, Ms. Hoxha has extensive professional experience in audit and consulting projects with KPMG, ProCredit Bank in Kosovo and Grant Thornton. Her experience includes providing audit and consulting services to government institutions at central and local levels; private and public companies; banks and microfinance institutions; insurance companies; international institutions/government agencies and NGOs. Since 2018, she has been part of the Luxembourg Development Agency, supervising the formulation, implementation, monitoring and closure of projects funded by the Government of Luxembourg in several sectors in Kosovo.

 

Ms. Hoxha has chaired several audit committees in various institutions, highlighting her commitment to integrity, compliance and risk management. Among her important contributions is her participation in the drafting of the conceptual document for the creation of the Sovereign Fund of the Republic of Kosovo.

 

In addition, she has over three years of experience teaching economics courses at AAB College, the University of Pristina and the University of Prizren in Kosovo.
