Bashkim Nurboja

Chairman of CBK Board

Mr Bashkim Nurboja is the Chairman of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK). Through an open application process, he was shortlisted and voted in by the Assembly of Kosovo, followed by a Presidential decree in December 2021 as a non-executive member of the Board of the Central Bank.

Mr Nurboja is a University Professor in the field of economics, with a doctorate completed at the University of Ljubljana – Faculty of Economics. In his doctoral thesis, he addressed the banking industry. Mr Nurboja completed his Master's degree in England at the "Staffordshire" University, and completed his Business studies at the University of Pristina "Hasan Prishtina".

Mr Bashkim Nurboja has published various scientific papers in scientific journals related to the banking industry. He has also participated in various international conferences with a focus on finance.

Mr Nurboja is a Professor at the Faculty of Business at “Haxhi Zeka” University, and has been part of various European Union projects.
