The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, in accordance with its publication calendar, presents the Balance of Payments statistics for November 2025.

Balance of Payments – by the end of November 2025, the current account recorded a deficit of €850.30 million, representing an increase of €164.98 million, or 24.07% higher compared to the same period of the previous year.

Trade balance in goods – by the end of November 2025, recorded a deficit of €5.07 billion, which is 14.9% higher compared to the same period of the previous year. Exports during this period reached a value of €874.14 million, marking a decrease of 1.17% compared to the corresponding period of the previous year, while imports of goods increased by 12.20%, reaching a value of €5.94 billion.

Services account – which consistently records a positive balance, reached €2.04 billion by the end of November 2025, representing an increase of 22.36% compared to the same period of the previous year.

Primary income – by the end of November 2025, recorded a positive balance of €255.80 million, whereas in the same period of the previous year it amounted to €209.01 million, indicating an increase of approximately 22.39%.

Secondary income – remains the key contributor to mitigating the current account deficit. By November 2025, this account recorded a positive balance of €1.89 billion, which is 3.65% higher compared to the same period of the previous year.

Remittances – are the key category within secondary income, the value of which by November 2025 reached €1.28 billion, representing an increase of €50.43 million, or 8.87%, compared to the same period of 2025. Whereas, according to preliminary estimates, remittances for December 2025 were around €140.04 million, bringing the total value to €1.42 billion (preliminary) by the end of December 2025. The largest inflows during November were channeled through NBFIs with 62.51%, through commercial banks with 15.51%, and through other channels with 21.98%.

Assets in the financial account – by the end of November 2025 recorded a positive balance of €919.74 million. Meanwhile, financial liabilities also recorded a positive balance amounting to €1.41 billion.

Direct investment in Kosovo – by the end of November 2025 amounted to €934.3 million, representing an increase of 28.29% compared to the same period of the previous year, while direct investment abroad from Kosovo reached €327.7 million, representing an increase of 66.6%.

Reserve assets – by the end of November 2025 increased by €379.58 million, representing an increase of 29.75% compared to the same period of the previous year, when they amounted to €292.55 million. The increase in reserve assets was mainly driven by the growth in deposits, which during the January-November 2025 period increased by €363.56 million.
