According to the publication calendar, the CBK published banking statistics for November 2023

The assets of commercial banks in November 2023 increased by 33.2 million euros, which is 0.46% higher compared to the previous month, reaching the value of 7.20 billion euros.

The investments of commercial banks abroad (in the form of deposits, securities and other placements) recorded a decrease of about 24.5 million euros, which are about 2.2% lower compared to the previous month, reaching the value of 1,10 billion euros.

Gross loans, at the end of November 2023, increased by 52.13 million euros, which is 1.1% higher compared to the previous month, reaching the value of 4.88 billion euros.

The value of new loans in November was 170.0 million euros.

Customer deposits, in November 2023, increased by around 6.7 million euros, which is 0.1% higher compared to the previous month, reaching the value of 5.88 billion euros. About 26% of deposits are term deposits. Households dominate with about 66.5% of total deposits (or about 3.90 billion euros).

The value of new deposits in November was 47.9 million euros.

The loan-deposit ratio in November was at the level of 83.1%.

The total capital of commercial banks, at the end of November 2023, was 846.7 million euros, while loan provisions increased by 8.36 million euros or 80.3% compared to the previous month, reaching the value of 18.76 million euros.

The average interest rate on deposits in November is 2.43% (in September it was 2.37%).

The loan interest rate in November is 6.40% (in September it was 6.39%).

The interest rate margin on loans and deposits in November is 3.98% (in September it was 4.01%).
