Governor Mehmeti receives the Ambassador of Australia accredited to Kosovo, Andrea Carlo Biggi, at the CBK

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Fehmi Mehmeti, received at the meeting the Ambassador of Australia accredited to Kosovo, Andrea Carlo Biggi.

At this meeting, Governor Mehmeti briefed the Ambassador of Australia accredited to Kosovo on the latest macroeconomic developments in the country, with special emphasis on the financial and banking sectors. Governor Mehmeti said the financial sector continues to perform well and increase its activity by supporting the country’s economic development. He also pointed out that the sector of insurance, pension funds, microfinance institutions and non-banking financial institutions are characterized by a positive effect.

On the other hand, the Ambassador of Australia accredited to Kosovo, Mr. Andrea Carlo Biggi, praised the work of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo and developments in the financial system, and expressed readiness to support the CBK.
