The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, together with Deputy Governor Mr. Milot Cakaj and the team, held a meeting with representatives of the Embassies of Austria, Germany, and Switzerland to discuss developments in Kosovo’s financial sector and ongoing reform activities, with particular emphasis on the Green Card system.

The meeting was attended by Ms. Clarissa Castek, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Austria in Pristina; Mr. Christoph Fuchs, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of Switzerland in Kosovo; and Mr. Christian Böttcher, Deputy Head of Mission at the Embassy of the Federal Republic of Germany in Pristina.

During the meeting, Governor Ismaili briefed the embassy representatives on key developments and reform initiatives in the financial sector, including progress in strengthening the legal and regulatory framework. Particular attention was given to European integration-related reforms related to the Green Card system, in the context of the CBK’s mandate to regulate and supervise the Kosovo Insurance Bureau and the insurance sector.

Governor Ismaili expressed the CBK’s sincere gratitude to the institutions of Austria, Germany, and Switzerland for their continued support in strengthening the integrity, stability, and resilience of Kosovo’s financial system.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo highly values the cooperation and support of its international partners in advancing the legal and regulatory framework in line with European Union standards and in supporting Kosovo’s integration into relevant European mechanisms.
