The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, participated in the World Bank Constituency meeting, held within the framework of the 2025 Annual Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank in Washington, D.C.

The meeting gathered representatives from the member countries of the Constituency, including Austria, Belgium, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Luxembourg, Slovakia, Slovenia, Türkiye, and Kosovo. Discussions focused on enhancing productivity, strengthening trade and investment, promoting digitalization, adopting technology for economic growth, and advancing financial inclusion.

In his remarks as part of the agenda dedicated to presenting Kosovo’s achievements, Governor Ismaili shared the country’s experience and progress in implementing projects with the World Bank Group and in benefiting from technical assistance across various areas, including digitalization and financial sector development. On this occasion, he expressed his appreciation to the World Bank leadership for their efficiency, renewed momentum, and the improved alignment of support with the institutional capacities and needs of beneficiary institutions in Kosovo.

Governor Ismaili also conveyed his gratitude for the World Bank’s continued support in achieving significant milestones, including Kosovo’s graduation from the fragility list and its transition to the role of an IDA donor. The ongoing cooperation and support from the World Bank leadership, as well as from the member states of the Constituency, were also highly appreciated.

As part of these meetings, the CBK delegation will hold bilateral meetings with counterparts from partner central banks.
