The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, who also represents the Republic of Kosovo on the Board of Governors of the International Monetary Fund, participated in the IMF Constituency meeting, where the Republic of Kosovo is a member together with Austria, the Czech Republic, Hungary, Slovakia, Slovenia, and Türkiye.

The meeting also included discussions on the progress in the implementation of ongoing activities, presenting an overview of our constituency’s work, as well as on economic and financial developments, including financial stability, the impact of external shocks, inflationary pressures, and emerging risks to the banking sector and the economies of participating countries. Possible measures to address and mitigate the effects of external shocks under conditions of heightened global uncertainty were also discussed.

Governor Ismaili expressed gratitude for the cooperation and support provided by the IMF leadership, while also confirming support for the nomination of the new Director of the constituency, and highly appreciating the work of the current Director, whose mandate is expected to conclude in the last quarter of this year.

The meeting was held within the framework of the Spring Meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank taking place in Washington DC.
