The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, accompanied by his team, welcomed for an introductory meeting a delegation from the European Central Bank, comprising Ms. Katalin Polgar, Ms. Julia Doleschel, and Mr. Tomas Slacik, who are on a visiting mission in Kosovo, to assess and discuss the Economic Reform Program 2024.

The Governor expressed his gratitude to the European Central Bank for supporting the Central Bank of Kosovo in the reform processes on the path towards European integration, and for all support provided and is continuing to provide for the CBK.

The ECB meets on an annual basis with experts from the CBK to assess the Economic Reform Programme through detailed discussions on current and expected perspectives of macroeconomic dynamics, systemic risk assessment and financial stability, financial oversight and regulatory activities, market competition, as well as progress in implementing previous year’s guidelines.

On this occasion, the Governor briefed the delegation on key developments in the financial system, the new strategic plan for 2024-2028, and the advancement of the legal and regulatory framework, by aiming to comply as much as possible with the EU Directives and the aspirations to become part of EU relevant institutions.
