The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosova, Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, welcomed in a meeting the Acting General Executive Director of the Financial Supervision Authority (AMF) of the Republic of Albania, Ms. Mimoza Kaçi, whom he informed about the main developments in the financial system and advancement of the legal and regulatory framework in the field of insurance.

The main topics of this meeting were advancement of the legal framework and exchange of experiences in specific areas that fall under the scope of CBK and AMF, including the approach to sector reforms related to IFRS 17, Solvency II, financial education, principles of ESG, as well as other aspects of cooperation and inter-institutional capacity building.

In this meeting was also discussed about the new legal initiatives for capital markets and other instruments in terms of implementing objectives and the new Strategic Plan of the CBK.

Director Kaçi informed Governor Ismaili about the main developments in the non-banking financial market in Albania, including the legal framework, expressing the readiness of the AMF to share experiences and give their contribution to issues of interest to the CBK and its processes.

Ms. Kaçi, together with her delegation consisting of main leaders of the relevant fields, is conducting an official visit, where common topics will be examined at technical and professional levels between the counterpart teams.

At the end of this conversation was also assessed close cooperation between the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosova and the Financial Supervision Authority, whereby interlocutors agreed in deepening this cooperation in the areas of common interest and market regulation and supervision through joint panels and bodies.
