The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosova (CBK) took part in the 9th Annual Cybersecurity Workshop organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) in Washington DC, where the latest regulatory and supervisory developments in cybersecurity within the financial sector were discussed.

At this international event, the Head of the IT Systems Supervision of financial institutions Division, Mr. Elvin Mala, presented the key aspects of the Regulation on Information Systems and Cyber Risk Management, developed with the assistance of the IMF, as well as CBK’s approach to strengthening the regulatory and supervisory framework in this area in line with the highest standards.

The workshop brought together representatives from around 90 countries, serving as a platform for the exchange of regulatory experiences, supervisory practices, and discussions on shared challenges related to enhancing the cyber resilience of financial institutions.

CBK’s participation in these international forums, alongside its institutional partnership with the IMF, represents an important element of its ongoing efforts to advance regulatory standards and strengthen supervisory capacities in response to evolving digital and cyber risks.
