The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti, received at the meeting the mission of the International Monetary Fund, headed by Mr. Gabriel Di Bella, Chief of Mission for Kosovo within the IMF European Department, and Stephanie Eble, Regional Resident Representative for the Western Balkans.
Governor Mehmeti briefed the participants on the current situation in Kosovo’s financial system in general and the banking system in particular, which continues to be stable and steadily growing. Governor Mehmeti thanked the delegation for the continuous support that the International Monetary Fund has provided to Kosovo, and in particular the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, in fulfilling its task of promoting and maintaining financial stability.
 Mr.  Gabriel Di Bella thanked Governor Mehmeti for the continuous cooperation, discussed the joint agenda for the coming months, and ways to further enhance cooperation between the IMF and the CBK.  During their stay in Kosovo, the IMF delegation, in addition to the CBK officials, will meet with senior officials of the Kosovo institutions.  The IMF delegation wraps up the visit on February 26.
