The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Fehmi Mehmeti, met with the President of the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce, Berat Rukiqi, and the Executive Director of the American Chamber of Commerce, Arian Zeka.

This meeting was held in the framework of regular meetings which Governor Mehmeti held with the stakeholders in order to discuss economic developments during and after the pandemics.

Governor Mehmeti informed the chambers’ representatives of the latest developments in the financial sector and of the CBK’s further plans to help the economy recover. The CBK remains committed to contributing to the further facilitation of access to finance through its role as regulator and supervisor of the financial system.

On the other hand, chambers’ representatives presented their views on the country’s economy as well as on the support measures that should be taken to overcome this situation with as few consequences for the economy as possible and to give a greater impetus to the country’s economic development.
