The Governor of the Bank of England, Mr. Andrew Bailey, sent a Letter to the Governor Mr. Ahmet Ismaili congratulating him and the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo on its 25th Anniversary.

The Letter highlighted the extraordinary journey of building a modern central bank from scratch and praised the hard work and determination of all staff.

He emphasized the CBK’s role in supporting the country’s economy, ensuring a sound payments system and a reliable banking system.

In addition, the Bank of England had delegated the Bank’s Executive Director of Payments, Ms. Victoria Cleland, who participated in the 25th Anniversary of the CBK, as a speaker at the International Conference, the first panel entitled “SEPA integration, digital transformation and implications for financial services”.
