CBK and IPA coordinate actions for the security and data protection of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, welcomed in the meeting the Commissioner for Information and Privacy Agency (IPA), Mrs. Krenare Sogojeva-Dërmaku.
During the meeting, it was discussed that the CBK and the IPA should coordinate actions for the security and data protection of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo.
Also, it was said that coordination will be done through joint activities with financial institutions, in order to ensure that the data is safe and is being stored properly.
Governor Ismaili and Commissioner Sogojeva-Dërmaku agreed that these two institutions will adapt the legal framework in order to be a guide for financial institutions, according to best practices.
At the end of the meeting, it was emphasized that cooperation agreements will be made for the coordination of processes between CBK and IPA.
