The Governor of the CBK welcomed in a meeting the new Director of the International Finance Corporation for the Western Balkans

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, together with his associates, welcomed today in a meeting the new Director of the International Finance Corporation for the Western Balkan countries, Mr. Nicolas Marquier with his team.

Mr. Marquirer congratulated Governor Ismaili on his appointment and provided his cooperation and support.

Governor Ismaili also congratulated Mr. Marquirer on his appointment and thanked for the contribution that the International Finance Corporation has given to the financial sector and the private sector in Kosovo.

Part of the discussion were also the final aspects of the organization of the first International Sustainable Finance Forum, which the CBK co-organizes with the International Finance Corporation (IFC), the Kosovo Banking Association (KBA), and in partnership with the State Secretariat of Switzerland for Economic Affairs (SECO).

In the meeting were also discussed the possibilities for cooperation between the CBK and the International Finance Corporation in the field of the regulatory framework and the sustainable financing strategy as well as financial inclusion.

The meeting concluded that the cooperation between the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo and the International Finance Corporation will continue in the development of the financial sector, financial inclusion and sustainable financing, in line with the best international standards and practices.
