The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Mr. Ahmet Ismaili served as a speaker at the roundtable discussion for the “We Lead” regional project, funded by the European Union and hosted by the Center of Excellence in Finance (CEF) in Ljubljana, Slovenia.

The event brought together institutional leaders and regional governors to address the complexities and challenges faced by their organizations, focusing on solutions and best practices.

Governor Ismaili participated in panel discussions alongside deputy prime ministers, the Finance ministers of Slovenia and Croatia, the Governor of Montenegro, the deputy minister of Finance of Bosnia and Herzegovina, and a representative of the European Commission. He highlighted the CBK’s strategic initiatives to improve internal processes and strengthen capacities.

In his address, Governor Ismaili detailed CBK’s proactive approach to human resource development, emphasizing the importance of building specific skills for central banks. He underscored CBK’s commitment to fostering professional growth through various initiatives and programs designed to equip employees with the necessary expertise.

Governor Ismaili also discussed CBK’s ongoing efforts to modernize the institution and streamline processes as part of its Strategic Plan. He highlighted the anticipated benefits of EU-supported programs in enhancing CBK’s capacities and talent pool, aligning with its strategic objectives. These initiatives aim to enable CBK to meet regulatory standards, strengthen financial stability, and effectively promote sustainable economic development in Kosovo.
