On this occasion, Acting Governor Bashkim Nurboja emphasized that the CBK aims to protect competition, always in the spirit of cooperation between the two institutions, and expressed his interest that the cooperation between CBK and KCA advance even further.

In this meeting Acting Governor Nurboja has requested that the Competition Authority look into the cases where we have complaints from Non-Bank Financial Institutions about the restriction of economic activity caused by some banks. Unilateral closing of current accounts of Non-Bank Financial Institutions by some banks is not a good practice, especially when there are no sufficient justifications.
