The CBK launches Capital Markets online learning and certification program

The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK) has become the beneficiary of the Capital Markets online learning and certification programme offered by the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD), as part of the commitment to the advancement of human and institutional capacities.

The programme will include modules for certification in various fields related to the scope of the CBK, such as: Risk Management, Asset Management, Investments, FinTech and ESG (Environmental, Social and Governance), of which 16 CBK officials will benefit.

The launching ceremony held at the CBK was attended by the Governor of the CBK, the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, and the Head of the EBRD for Kosovo, who also delivered a speech before the beneficiary participants.

The Governor, Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, thanking the EBRD for the cooperation and support, emphasized that this activity is taking place within the framework of the commitment to advance human capacities, talent management within the institution, as well as the modernization and digitalization of the CBK, as part of the Strategic Plan.

Meanwhile, the head of the EBRD for Kosovo, Mr. Sergiy Maslichenko, said that this programme is the continuation of the support for Kosovo of the institution he leads, in the cooperation between the EBRD and the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.

Also, as a beneficiary of the program, in his words of thanks at this launch event, the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Mr. Hekuran Murati said that this project will make it possible to have more qualified personnel and will contribute to building professional capacities for the development of the financial market in current conditions.
