The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Ahmet Ismaili, together with the Chairman of the Board of the CBK, Mr. Bashkim Nurboja, attended the 10th “Lámfalussy” Conference, under the auspices of the Governor of the National Bank of Hungary (MNB), Mr. György Matolcsy.

The annual conference is held in honor of Alexandre Lamfalussy, one of the founders of the concept of the European Union’s single capital market, the European Central Bank and the Euro itself, which this year also corresponds to the 100th anniversary of the founding of the National Bank of Hungary.

The title of this year’s conference was “The age of geoeconomics: Evolution of central banking”, with the participation of a large number of personalities, with introductory speeches by the Governor of Hungary, the President of the  European Central Bank (virtual), the Prime Minister of Hungary, as well as the internationally renowned professor Jeffrey Sachs.

This year’s “Lámfalussy” Prize was awarded for her contribution to Ms. Christine Lagarde – President of the European Central Bank.
