The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti met with the acting Minister of Finance and Transfers, Mr. Besnik Bislimi, and the Deputy Minister, Mr. Ilir Aliu.

Governor Mehmeti thanked the acting Minister Bislimi and Deputy Minister Aliu for the visit, and informed them about the current situation in the financial system of Kosovo in general and the banking system in particular, as a result of the situation created due to Covid 19 pandemic, as well  as the managment of this situation by the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo.

In the meeting was also discussed for the economic and financial situation in the country and in particular the importance of the economic recovery plan in order to overcome as easily as possible the situation created due to Pandemic.

Governor Mehmeti assured the acting Minister Bislimi that the CBK will take all necessary measures in accordance with its legal mandate to help the country’s economic recovery.

Governor Mehmeti and the acting Minister Bislimi expressed readiness to coordinate activities between institutions and agreed that co-operation will continue in the future.
