Governor Ismaili met with the Working Group of the Committee for Economy for overseeing the implementation of the Law on Foreign Trade

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Ahmet Ismaili with his associates met the Working Group for overseeing the implementation of the Law on Foreign Trade, composed of the parliamentarians Mr. Hyseni, Mr. Thaçi and Coordinator of Committees in the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Ademaj.
This meeting consisted of a discussion regarding the statistics in terms of trade exchanges in services and opportunities for advancement, as well as challenges for the implementation of this Law.

Governor Ismaili and Deputy Governor Dardan Fusha revealed during this meeting the plans of the CBK to achieve the objectives and implement the Strategic Plan, emphasizing also the strengthening of the role of publications and their communication to the public.

Also, the representatives of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo were informed about the developments in the CBK, with special emphasis on the modernization of the payment system that would affect the facilitation of the circulation of funds, the increase of competition and the facilitation of commercial activities in the Republic of Kosovo and abroad.

The challenges for membership in the Green Card as an obstacle to the development of commercial activities were also discussed.

The meeting concluded with a discussion of the relationship between the CBK and the Kosovo Agency of Statistics for the processing of data, foreign investments in the Republic of Kosovo and the need to enhance inter-institutional coordination.
