The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Mr. Ahmet Ismaili, accompanied by Deputy Governor Cakaj and his associates, during the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) Annual Meetings, met with the IMF Mission Chief for Kosovo, Mr. David Amaglobeli and his associates.

Governor Ismaili during this meeting informed Mr. Amaglobeli on the main developments in the financial sector, the implementation of the Strategic Plan, the functionalization of the new organizational structure and other reforms in the CBK with the aim of increasing capacities.

Likewise, the head of the CBK informed the IMF Mission Chief about the fulfillment of the recommendations arising from the two IMF programs: Stand-By Arrangement (SBA) and Resilience and Sustainability Facility (RSF), as well as the level of implementation of technical assistance.

The parties discussed the cooperation and preparations for the new Review Mission of Article IV as well as the current programs that the Republic of Kosovo has signed with the IMF.

As part of the official visit to Washington D.C., the CBK delegation will continue to have bilateral meetings with the heads of the IMF and the World Bank as part of ongoing cooperation.

The CBK delegation met with senior IMF officials from the Monetary and Capital Markets (MCM) Department and the Finance Department Governor Ismaili met with the Deputy Managing Director of the IMF, Mr. Bo Li: The level of implementation of the recommendations and programs in force was highly appreciated
