The high delegation of the CBK in a meeting with the Embassy of the Republic of Kosovo in Brussels

The delegation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (the CBK) consisting of the Governor, Mr. Ahmet Ismaili and the Deputy Governor, Mr. Dardan Fusha was hosted in the meeting by the Head of the Mission, the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo to Belgium, Luxembourg and the European Union, Mr. Agron Bajrami and the Ambassador of the Republic of Kosovo for relations with NATO, Mr. Astrit Zemaj, where they discussed the current events in the country’s financial system.

During this meeting, it was also discussed about the activities of the CBK within the EU project for the Modernization of the Payment System of the six countries of the Western Balkans, respectively membership in the EU Single Euro Payments Area, the issue of Green Card efforts as well as addressing issues related to global payment platforms.

It was also informed about the advancement of the legal and regulatory framework according to EU directives and the highest international standards.

Ambassador Bajrami expressed his support to contribute to the important integration processes and alignment of legislation with the European Union.
