The high delegation of the CBK concludes its participation in the spring meetings of the IMF and the WB

The high delegation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, headed by the Acting Governor, Mr. Bashkim Nurboja and Ms. Nora Latifi Jashari, Acting Deputy Governor for Banking Operations, have completed their participation in the spring meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, which were held in Washington, USA.

During this official visit, the CBK delegation, in addition to participating in the planned tables according to the agenda of the visit, held many meetings with senior officials of the International Monetary Fund, the World Bank, as well as with counterparts from the Central Banks of different countries. The delegation met with Mr. Alfred Kammer, the Director for Europe of the International Monetary Fund.

In this meeting, the cooperation between the CBK and the IMF so far was discussed, as well as the projects that are under development.

The Acting Governor of the CBK, Mr. Bashkim Nurboja, has thanked the IMF for the continuous support it has given to Kosovo and the CBK over the years in its advancement in all the areas it covers.

During the participation in the spring meetings of the IMF and the WB, the senior delegation of the CBK participated in the working group for the new constituency agreement.

Always according to the agenda of participation in the framework of the spring meetings, the CBK delegation also met with the Deputy Managing Director of the IMF, Mr. Bo Li.

In the framework of these meetings, the implementation of recommendations from previous technical assistance reports was discussed, as well as expressions of interest for future support.

The annual meetings, organized by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, bring together Central Bankers, Ministers of Finance and Economic Development, parliamentarians, private sector leaders, representatives from civil society organizations and academics to discuss issues of global importance, including the world economic perspective, poverty eradication, economic development and aid effectiveness.
