The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo Mr. Ahmet Ismaili and his associates met with the Chair of the Board of Kosovo Banking Association, Mr. Suat Bakkal and the Director of the Kosovo Banking Association, Mr. Petrit Balija.
In this meeting, they discussed about the current situation of the banking sector, having a crucial role in supporting the economy of the country, which has continued to be characterized by stability, high levels of the capital, quality of funds and liquidity.
Similarly, they also discussed about increasing cooperation between the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo and Kosovo Banking Association, including addressing challenges for successful implementation of the CBK Regulation on access to payment account with basic services.
Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo and Kosovo Banking Association agreed to increase cooperation and communication between these two institutions in the function of increasing the effectiveness of the banking system, digitization of services and support the economy in current circumstances, and other projects related to sustainable and responsible banking.
