The CBK participating in the high-level Forum for Central Banks Governance

The Deputy Governor for General Functions, Mrs. Nesrin Shileku-Shala and the non-executive member of the Board of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Mrs. Nora Latifi-Jashari are participating in the 8th High-Level Forum for Central Banks Governance organized by the International Monetary Fund (IMF) on the topic “Role of the Board, support mechanisms for good governance and latest developments”.

This Forum, which is being held in Dubai, brought together experts from global financial institutions to discuss important governance issues.

In her speech at the panel entitled “The role of the Board and the interaction with the executive management”, Mrs. Latifi-Jashari emphasized the essential role and powers that the non-executive members of the Supervisory Board must have to ensure effective governance in financial institutions.

Further, Mrs. Latifi-Jashari emphasized the importance of transparent communication channels between the respective boards to maintain a clear governance structure where each board clearly understands its role and responsibilities.

The forum, which is being held as of 30 April to 2 May 2024, provides a platform for central bank officials and governance experts to share ideas and best practices.
