A great number of “Naim Frashëri” Elementary School students from Vushtrri had the opportunity to learn about the importance of money, ways of saving money and identifying false banknotes. Lectures delivered before the students of this school by the staff of Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo were conducted within the framework of the “Global Money Week, in the light of Financial Education”, which is being organized for the 6th year in a row.

CBK officials stated that the main purpose of marking of this week is to empower young generations to be in step with the times and accountable, and to be citizens who continually develop and enhance their economic literacy.

Also, with the right support in educating young generations, we will be able to increase their financial knowledge in order to create a better life for them.

During the upcoming days, the CBK will organize activities to also mark this week in other schools and educational institutions throughout the country, whereby on 27 March a lecture will be held at the University of Applied Sciences in Ferizaj, and on March 28, CBK will deliver a lecture with Young Bankers from BpB, then a lecture will be held at the University of Prishtina. On March 29, the CBK will organize activities with “Faik Konica” elementary school students and on March 30, a lecture will be organized at AAB University in Pristina.
