Governor Mehmeti meets with the World Bank Director for Kosovo and North Macedonia – Mr. Marco Mantovanelli

The topic of discussion with the World Bank team was the Country Economic Memorandum as well as future perspectives and challenges regarding the country’s economic development.

Mehmeti Governor presented the views of the Central Bank on the economic development perspective   in general and the role of the financial sector as a key contributor to the financing of the economy, in particular.

The Governor also informed the World Bank team on the good performance of the financial sector in Kosovo, and emphasized the importance of this sector in supporting the country’s sustainable economic development. Governor Mehmeti thanked the World Bank for the excellent assistance and cooperation and expressed his readiness to continue this cooperation even further.

On the other hand, the World Bank Director for Kosovo and Northern Macedonia, Mr. Marco Mantovanelli said that the institution he leads will continue to maintain a high level of co-operation with the CBK in the implementation of projects aimed at the continued development of the financial sector.
