A high delegation of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo led by the Governor, Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti, will participate in the regular annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, which are being held in Washington, USA.

These meetings will be held from 18 to 24 April.

In the meetings that will be held with senior officials of the IMF and the WB, the senior delegation of the CBK will discuss the latest economic, fiscal and financial developments, as well as the expectations for 2022.

In the meetings that will take place in the following days, the implementation of the recommendations from the previous reports of technical assistance will be discussed, as well as the expressions of interest for future support.

The perspective and challenges for Europe will also be discussed.

The annual meetings, organized by the International Monetary Fund and the World Bank, bring together central bankers, finance and economic development ministers, parliamentarians, private sector leaders, representatives of civil society organizations and academics to discuss issues of global importance, including the global economic perspective,  poverty eradication, economic development and aid effectiveness.
