The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), as part of its commitment to Financial Education, has launched today in a testing phase the Platform for Comparison of Financial Products and Services. The testing phase will last for a certain period of time, while comments are received and the relevant legislation is finalized.

The platform aims to provide better transparency in the financial market, helping citizens obtain detailed information on interest rates and fees for the most commonly used financial products and services offered by financial institutions to individuals. The platform enables citizens to compare different offers from the banking sector for the same products in order to make the most appropriate choice according to their needs.

The goal of the Platform is to support Financial Education, increase transparency and consumer protection, and advance access to finance for citizens in the country.

At this stage, the Platform has disclosed the most used financial products and services for individuals in the banking sector, however, it is planned to develop and supplement it with additional information for the banking sector, such as the section on payments – bank transfers, then with products for microfinance institutions, non-bank financial institutions and products of insurance companies.

Institucionet financiare do të jenë përgjegjëse për saktësinë, përditësimin dhe vërtetësinë e të dhënave të paraqitura, pas përfundimit te fazës testuese.

The Platform for Comparison of Financial Products and Services is a web application, which is available in three languages: Albanian, Serbian and English. Consumers can use it easily regardless of the device used, such as desktop, laptop, smartphones and tablets.

This platform is accessible through the official CBK website at www.bqk-kos.org, in the CBK portals section, or directly at https://krahaso.bqk-kos.org. Citizens can learn more about its functionalities through guidance materials and videos published on the official CBK Financial Education website, respectively at the link https://bqk-kos.org/edu/.

The Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo remains committed to developing projects that increase financial education and support the interests of citizens for easier and more transparent access to the financial market.

The implementation of the Platform has been made possible with the support of the European Fund for South-East Europe (EFSE), office in Kosovo, which has provided continuous support to the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo in most of the Financial Education projects and initiatives. EFSE aims to foster economic development and prosperity in South-East Europe and the Eastern European Neighbourhood Region.
