Governor Mehmeti was received in a meeting by the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Fehmi Mehmeti was received  by the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Vjosa Osmani. On this occasion, Governor Mehmeti informed President Osmani about the developments in the financial system and the progress achieved in this field. Special attention was paid to the measures taken to support the country’s economy during the pandemic period, measures which proved to be effective in maintaining financial and macroeconomic stability.  At the same time, Governor Mehmeti informed President Osmani regarding the implementation of the requirements and recommendations arising from the reports of international institutions in order to further develop the country’s financial system.

In the meeting was emphasized the importance of financial stability for the development and stability of the country’s economy, highly appreciating the support measures during the period of pandemic crisis.
It was also emphasized the importance of providing quality services with favorable conditions for citizens by the financial system and at the same time support was provided for independent institutions to act in accordance with the legislation in force and the Constitution of the Republic of Kosovo.
