The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti, hosted a meeting of a team of USAID contractors, lead by Mr. Christopher Thompson, representative of Checchi and Company Consulting.

Governor Mehmeti briefed the USAID Contractor Team on developments in the financial system in general and the banking system in particular, as well as on the successes and challenges of this sector.

Governor Mehmeti thanked for the continued assistance that USAID has provided to the CBK in many projects implemented, which have helped develop the financial system

At the meeting were discussed the opportunities offered by arbitration in resolving legal disputes, that would help to further develop the financial sector.

On the other hand,  representative of Checchi and Company Consulting, Mr. Thompson expressed satisfaction for the cooperation with the CBK and thanked Governor Mehmeti for his continued commitment to further enhance this cooperation.
