The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Fehmi Mehmeti, hosted in a meeting the Minister of Economy and Environment, Mr. Blerim Kuçi.

Governor Mehmeti informed Minister Kuçi about the latest developments in the financial system, as well as about the role that this system has played in minimizing economic consequences from the pandemic during the period of restrictive measures.

Also, Governor Mehmeti informed the Minister about the CBK’s contribution to the drafting of the economic recovery plan.

On this occasion, Governor Mehmeti stated that the CBK remains committed in giving its contribution to the further facilitation of access to finance, through its role as a regulator and supervisor of the financial system.

On the other hand, Minister Kuçi informed Governor Mehmeti about the plans of the Ministry of Economy and Environment, and expressed his commitment to engage in creating as many opportunities for an environment that promotes sustainable development of the country’s economy.
