In the meeting  were discussed the measures taken by the CBK to help the economy, but also in respecting all measures required by the Ministry of Health and the National Institute of Public Health of Kosovo.

Governor Mehmeti and Minister Zemaj also addressed the progress of the health insurance policy process and the issue of health insurance coverage by insurance companies operating in Kosovo in handling COVID-19 cases. In this context, the developments and dynamics for the completion of the Law on Health Insurance and the challenges that needs to be addressed through this Law were also discussed, including in particular the situations of dealing with pandemics of global proportions such as COVID-19.

Further, the Governor said that the CBK will continue to support all relevant institutions in legal initiatives but also in the implementation of all instructions of the Ministry of Health to prevent the spread of COVID-19, in order to protect public health and dealing with consequences as easiest as possible in  managing this pandemic.  

On the other hand, Minister Zemaj thanked the Governor for the measures taken against the pandemic and expressed readiness to cooperate further in order to preserve public health, which will be in function of preserving and recovering the economy.
