Governor Ismaili received the head of the World Bank Office for Kosovo and North Macedonia Mr. Paolucci

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Ahmet Ismaili and his colleagues welcomed in the meeting Mr. Massimiliano Paolucci, head of the World Bank Office for Kosovo and North Macedonia and his team.
Governor Ismaili thanks the World Bank for the continuous support given to CBK through technical assistance in projects related to the field of digitization of payment and remittance services, the compilation of the national strategy for financial inclusion, the risks related to climate change, the projects related with the insurance market and many other important projects.
Governor Ismaili revealed his priorities and plans that he will implement during his mandate in the governance of the CBK and emphasized the commitment to be a reliable partner of the World Bank and the continuation of cooperation in all aspects that affect the increase in financial inclusion of citizens, enabling their access to important international platforms of payment services, as well as other aspects of the free circulation of capital and not only.
In the meeting, Governor Ismaili expressed his high appreciation to the World Bank for its willingness to offer us new technical assistance programs in various fields such as digitization, cyber risk, financial education and other projects that help in the further advancement of the financial sector.
On the other hand, Mr. Paolucci emphasized that the World Bank will continue to maintain a high level of cooperation with the CBK, in the implementation of projects whose main purpose is the continuous development of the financial sector and the economy of Kosovo in general.
The issues of cooperation and technical assistance discussed are expected to be finalized at the annual meetings of the IMF and the World Bank that will be held in October this year, where the CBK delegation will also participate.
