Governor Ismaili met the GET team headed by Mrs. Marie-Aimée Salopiata

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr Ahmet Ismaili, and his associates, met the German Economic Team (GET) headed by Mrs. Marie-Aimée Salopiata, as part of efforts to address the issue of inclusion in the Green Card system of the Council of Bureaux.

In this meeting, GET experts presented two focused studies, carried out at the request of the CBK, on the economic impacts for the Republic of Kosovo from not joining the Green Card system, as well as the possible options for addressing this issue in the most efficient way.

Based on the current positions, recommendations and coordination at the institutional and inter-institutional level, progress will be made towards possible practical solutions, both to facilitate the free movement of citizens and goods, and for regional and wider integration.

The CBK, in accordance with the Strategic Plan 2024-2028, will continue to support this process in multidimensional efforts, including diplomatic aspects to achieve this goal, which is also related to the current integration processes of our country.
