The governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Ahmet Ismaili, on the fourth day of his stay at the annual meetings of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) and the World Bank (WB) that are being held in Marrakesh, has held meetings with the governors of central banks and senior representatives of world financial institutions.

It is worth noting that Governor Ismaili had a conversation with the Governor of the National Bank of Austria, Dr. Holzmann, as well as with the Governor of the Bank of Albania, Mr. Sejko.

During separate meetings, Governor Ismaili discussed with the President of the Commercial and Development Bank of the Black Sea, Mr. Koksal, the Executive Director of the Constituency in the WB, Mr. Demircan and the Deputy Chief of the Official Monetary and Financial Institutions Forum (OMFIF) and the Global Head of Executive Banking at DZ Bank AG, Mr. Scheidig.

In addition, the head of the CBK held meetings with the Finance Ministers of the Constituency from Slovenia, Mr. Boštjančič, from Belgium, Mr. Van Peteghem and the Deputy Minister of Turkey, Mr. Çelik.

In these meetings, Governor Ismaili talked about cooperation, the possibility of expanding the assistance and investment portfolio, as well as memberships in international mechanisms for central banks and economic policies.

Governor Ismaili also participated in the session in which the topic of price stability was discussed, under the guidance of the Governor of the Bank of Spain, Mr. Hernández de Cos and the Director of the European Department of the IMF, Mr. Kammer.

During the day, Governor Ismaili will sign the agreement for membership of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo in the Treasury Program of the World Bank “Reserve Advisory & Management Partnership” (RAMP).
