Governor Ismaili hosted in a meeting the Auditor General, Vlora Spanca

The Governor of the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo (CBK), Mr. Ahmet Ismaili hosted in a meeting the Auditor General of the National Audit Office (NAO), Ms. Vlora Spanca, where they discussed on the cooperation between the two constitutional institutions in areas of common interest, towards the achievement of international standards.

Governor Ismaili informed Chief Auditor Spanca about the actual developments in the financial sector, the CBK Strategic Plan and the areas where reforms are being implemented, including the implementation of the recommendations of the International Monetary Fund (IMF) for the CBK, which have recently been revised and published.

On the other hand, the Auditor General of the NAO informed Governor Ismaili about the activities of the National Audit Office, in accordance with its plan, including the state budget and public enterprises. She emphasized the improvements in the indicators related to the country’s macro-financial stability, which are also of interest to the CBK.

Both agreed on the extension of cooperation beyond legal mandates, with a focus on publications on economic and financial developments, as well as the exchange of evaluations on these developments, in addition to those published by international financial institutions for Kosovo and the region.

Governor Ismaili also expressed his willingness to support initiatives that contribute to the proper coordination of fiscal and monetary policies, that bring sustainability and financial stability, with positive effects on the sustainable economic growth.
