Nesrin Shileku

Born in Pristina in 1974, Nesrin Shileku Shala graduated from the University of Pristina, Faculty of Economics, in 2000 with a degree in Business Economics.

 

Her early career involved roles in the humanitarian sector. She initially worked as a Finance Assistant at the Organization for Security and Cooperation in Europe (OSCE) and later as a Finance Assistant with Doctors of the World. In October 2003, Ms. Shileku Shala began her career at the Central Bank of the Republic of Kosovo as an Assistant Bank Supervisor. In November 2005, she was promoted to Bank Supervisor, and from January 2007 to August 2018, she served as a Senior Bank Supervisor. Her experience also extends to developing the legal framework and aligning regulations with the Basel framework and International Financial Reporting Standards through various projects implemented by the Central Bank of Kosovo, with support from international organizations such as the U.S. Treasury, ECB, IMF, GIZ, World Bank, and USAID. Additionally, she has completed numerous professional training programs both domestically and internationally.

 

Ms. Shileku Shala was part of the project for drafting the regulatory framework for Residential Mortgage Loans and Real Estate Appraisal. She also completed a certification program for Real Estate Appraisal at the Kosovo Chamber of Commerce.
