At the same time, the remittances for September and the preliminary remittances for October 2023, were also published.


Other financial intermediaries

The assets of other financial intermediaries at the end of October 2023, have increased by 17.6 million euro compared to the previous month, reaching a value of 496.5 million euro.
The structure of the assets of the microfinance sector is dominated by loans, which represent 69.9% of the total assets.
Gross loans of other financial intermediaries reached a value of around 346.9 million euro in October 2023, an increase of 7.2 million euro compared to the previous period.
Loans to households in October 2023 represent 62.2% of the total loans of the microfinance sector.
The value of new loans in October is 35.91 million (35.45 million in in September).

Insurance companies
At the end of October 2023, insurance company assets marked the amount of 300.4 million euros, which represents an increase of about 100 thousand euros compared to the previous month.
The structure of the assets in the insurance sector consists of the balance sheet with commercial banks accounting for 45.6% of securities and other assets accounting for 28.4% of assets while reinsurance accounted for 15.1% of total assets.

Pension funds

The assets of the pension funds at the end of October 2023 have decreased by 21.5 million euro compared to the previous month, reaching a value of 2.60 billion euro.
The asset structure of the pension sector is dominated by equity securities that constitute 64% of total assets.
The balance of equity securities was around 1.66 billion euro, in October 2023, marking a decrease of 305 million euro compared to the previous month. This came as a result of the maturity of the instrument of this category and the re-investment in another category of assets.

Remittances
According to preliminary estimates, remittances in October were around 110.5 million euro. The largest flows during this month were through NBFI 60.4%, other channels 24.2%, and through banks 15.4%.
By the end of October 2023, the remittances reached the value of about 1,119.7 million euro, which represents an increase of 10.9% compared to the same period of 2022.
